Designed by Solid, Organic Avenue, a health and wellness lifestyle company, expanding into its Suffolk Street headquarters, calling it The Space of LOVE* (*Live, Organic, Vegan, Experience). This concept store was imagined as a community space for those interested in the benefits of a healthy, plant-based lifestyle, offering classes and workshops on health and wellness, a live food lounge and elixir bar for alkaline water-based “mock”-tails, and a retail boutique with a selection of raw, live organic foods, fresh pressed juices, and lifestyle-related goods.The retail space was outfitted with custom shelving and built-in refrigeration, using eco-friendly materials and lumber from local sources. In order to maximize space in the compact storefront, folding glass panels allow the front of the store to open directly onto the street. These bi-level tri-fold doors make up the entire storefront and can be folded one panel at a time, allowing a variety of configurations for the desired amount of light and air. When all panels are folded, the open front of the space merges with the sidewalk, inviting visitors inside. A modular gridded shelf separates the grab n’ go retail boutique in the front from the lounge and event space in the back, allowing light and air to flow freely, while the white walls and ceiling keep the space bright and airy throughout. A custom communal table and benches made from salvaged wood and plush white chairs populate the lounge where customers can relax, socialize, and consult with trained specialists to plan customized cleanses and delivery subscription packages.
